Drug Store Holy Grail: L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation Demo + Review

H E L L O  B E A U T I E S !

I just want to start of by saying that drug store makeup brands (in the words of Beyoncé), "did not come to play wit you hoes." They are really stepping their game up. Providing affordable makeup with amazing quality.

With that said lets talk about L'ORÉAL's Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation! ($12.99)

This Semi Matte, Oil Free foundation shocked the hell out of me. When I swatched them on the back of my hand, the coverage and texture was insane. Kind of like a creme, but...not. Let me give you an idea of what I mean. (see swatches below)

First. I need to show you the amount of foundation I used for each swatch. I need you to see it first so you can have a better understanding as to why the coverage is insane. I used the smallest dot for each shade. (LOOK!)

These dots of foundation aren't even dime size!

Here is the foundation blended out! ONE TIME, with that ONE DOT! *Gasps*

Maybe I'm alone in my excitement, I don't know. Maybe I'm tripping, but I absolutely love it. Here is what it looks like on my face. The before and afters are raw and un touched! I used about a nickel size about of foundation on the back of my hand and applied it with a dense makeup brush.

My Before and After!
(I didn't not prime the skin. Its completely bare. The after is with one application.)
Below I'm wearing #109. By the time winter rolls around and this tan goes away, I'll be #107.

Do you believe me now, or do you think I'm gassing you? Unless I'm blind, (or you're blind) you can see the coverage is amazing. The foundation is oil free, but has a creme like texture and finish without the shine. If you have oily skin, I do believe that this is a great option for you. Also, if you're someone like me who has dry skin, this will work for you as well. Oil free foundations scare me because I feel after a while I'll begin to look flaky. I'm so happy I didn't experience that here. Before use, definitely give it a good shake. I found it to be a bit on the runny side if I forgot to do so. Also, I had to go back and see how many ounces came in the bottle. I don't know if its the packaging, but it felt like there wasn't much in there or that it wouldn't last me very long. However I was shocked to see it had 1oz, the standard amount that comes in any foundation bottle or tube. My final CON isn't something that will come as a surprise. There aren't enough shades for women with deeper skin tones. On the website the darkest shade is 111. Shade #112 is the darkest so just one shade up. I wish I had it to swatch for you guys. They only had up to #111 in stores.

Outside of that: Two thumbs up! I also used it on an editorial recently and it photographed well. On this day we ended up shooting outside, mid summer day so it was extremely hot. This foundation help up through the buckets of sweat that came through my models face. Here is a video of my model. Check out her skin! On her I used shade #103.

Again, someone send me something I'll hate so my blog doesn't come off as one of those, "OMG I love this so much because I got it for free" blogs! This is my honest review. I had to make that clear since I pumped this product up so much. I feel like DJ Khaled. With that said, this foundation is a MAJOR KEY ALERT and you should cop it. Can't wait to get my hands on the Infallible Pro-Glow.

Until next time,
